Symphony silence filled the music hall before the curtain rose and the anticipated performance brought a moment of exhilaration and excitement scurrying over the elegant clad attendees.

Spotlights focused as the director strode center stage. Lights dimmed and the curtain lifted. He stepped to the podium, tapped his baton, and held up his arms as every eye in the house held on the performance-clad orchestra in all their finery. The audience sat spellbound, waiting for those first perfect notes to saturate their senses.

Time to seek shelter 2

But their music stands were empty, and shrieky, strident sounds of a weird, wild cadence blasted ear drums. Gasps were seen, but couldn’t be heard. The volume increased as did the out-of-tune mayhem from the thumps and bumps of the percussion section, mindless blasts from the horns, and screeches from the strings. Not an ounce of unity. No trace of a melody. Just a barrage of hateful clamor.

The audience twisted and turned to assess the reactions of other symphony goers, but not a soul left their seat. They sat in rapt expectation that this symphony of deception would somehow change. Some way have a good ending.

But it didn’t.

The chaotic chords continued as the audience squirmed in their seats. Watching. Waiting. Anticipating. But nothing changed. Yet all those concert goers remained in their places, listening, but doing nothing to stop this absurd spectacle. And when the last cords fell silent, the people who endured this catastrophe even clapped their feigned approval for their deceivers.

I know you’re thinking, what stupid people. These were obvious phonies pretending to be professional musicians. If I’d been there I’d a rushed up that aisle and demanded the performance be stopped and my money refunded.

Really? But isn’t this what’s happening across America today? No unity, no oneness of Spirit. Everyone banging their own tune. No United States of America. No “My Country, ‘tis of Thee.” No “Sweet land of liberty. Of Thee we sing—” The music has ceased, but the hateful haranguing shrieks and screams rage on, and on, and on.

And the silence of the majority still waits for the deception to end. But it hasn’t. And it won’t. Unless you do something to stop it.

God offered, provided His Word and His Son, but the rancorous minority rejected His help and kicked Him to the curb, while the silent majority sat silent. And now we’re out of time. Next Friday could be the beginning of chaos, the likes of which America hasn’t seen since the Civil War. But only Elohim, The Lord God Almighty, can save us from ourselves and this great deception.

If we humble ourselves and pray as though our nation’s future depended on you and me. Because it does.

Political leaders claim to be serving the good of all the American people, but they don’t. With ulterior radical motives, a depraved mind, and an insatiable appetite for money, they have captured and created chaos for years with a perverted plan to fundamentally change these United States of America, while the public they pretend to serve, waits on the sidelines for someone—anyone to rescue them from the coming storm.

Hot in the kitchen 2

Yet the God of the Ages is still faithful and still stands ready to rescue, if we will, with one voice, cry out to Him.

Teachers, professors, educators claim to teach our children necessary skills, but instead uphold an agenda contrary to the principals and precepts of the Word of God. These purveyors of deception have slipped in unnoticed and taken control of schools and universities. These pseudo-intellectuals delight in social experimentation to force their lies and ideological beliefs upon our children. And we have paid and still trust them to accomplish this hideous brain-washing, while we sit silent on the sidelines, grateful to have illegitimate babysitters relieve us of our responsibilities as parents.

Preachers who claim to preach truth, but actually proclaim another gospel, rather than the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, are multiplying and flourishing in this once “Under God” nation. These rebellious men and women seek and flatter congregations not grounded in the Word of God. And people with itching ears gobble their false-prophecies because their ears and hearts are not interested in the truths, practices, and principles of the Lord God Almighty.

Social media experts whose responsibility and pledge is to inform and report the truth and facts have only one goal …make money, regardless of the costs. And are for sale to the highest bidder. Truth? God’s instructions? They aren’t interested. Lies make bigger and better press.

And entertainers—in this Sodom and Gomorrah culture—invade not only movies, books, CD’s, theater, but have moved into our homes, the classroom, and our children’s hearts. Television shows broadcast with flamboyance their intentional rebellion against God and His holiness, while we sit and watch, night after night, week after week, and when called to account attempt a lame defense… “Oh, I don’t agree with ’em. I just watch ’em.”

Well, sweet friend, If you’re watchin’, you’re agreeing.

I know we’ve all heard the saying, “Those who don’t learn from history are bound to repeat it.” Yet we purposefully refuse to learn. God preserved His Word and called us to come apart and be separate. We are instructed to be different. We are instructed to be holy unto the Lord. Our pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress’ new book,  “All Roads Do Not Lead to Heaven,” confirms this truth.

Last night I read that the State of California as of January 1, 2017, will no longer prosecute child sexual molestation cases, thus throwing the door wide open to human trafficking. What are these California legislators thinking? What will they say when they stand before the God of all Creation and hear Jesus say:

“And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, ‘Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea’” (Matthew 18:2-6 NAS).

What will you say and do when your State legislators propose the same thing?

In that day, our excuses, our idols, and our hypocrisy will be burned up and many of us will be left with the bare bones of our salvation—no rewards—because we were too lazy, too busy, or too fearful to stand for God’s truth in the here and now.

And many will hear those awful words, “I never knew you. “Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23 NAS).

Do you think God has changed His mind? He tells us He never changes. Do you know and trust His character?  His promises? Will you continue to sit and watch this symphony of deception play out until the end—never objecting, never speaking God’s truth, never caring about those your life touches? Will you, like those absurd fictional symphony goers, clap your hands together in feigned approval of those rushing down the wide highway to an eternal hell?

Our forefathers stood firm in the light of The Word of God, fought and died for the precious principles of faith in the God of all Creation. Will you sit in silence while the enemies of God steal our land too?

Hot in the Kitchen.jpg 1

Or will you accept and trust in the gift the Lord Jesus Christ paid for your soul and mine? While there is still time, God stands ready to grant His mercy, His grace, and forgiveness because of Jesus’ blood shed for you and me—if we will turn, listen, and obey Him. But time is short. Please search your heart. Please ask His forgiveness. Please repent…turn around and walk according to His principles and precepts.

Diligently pray for our nation this coming week and ask God to bind the forces of evil determined to turn the hallowed ground of our forefathers into a battle ground. Draw your line in the sand and stand like a soldier holding the solid line of Truth. Be thankful to our Lord. Our God. Our Only Salvation. Our soon coming King!

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost” (Revelation 22:16-17 NAS).

Darkness obscured the noise.
Glass crashed and shattered across the floor.
A brick wrapped in brown butcher paper, decorated with hate speech scribbled in black and tied with a string, fell to the floor.
Unable to move, a frightened boy gawked. His saucer-sized-eyes reflected the horror exploding inside him.
Torched by a man saturated in hate, a flaming match ignited the gasoline he’d doused on a cross, illuminating a black football jersey with his brother’s number 22—hung there to fry in hell’s fury.

I sat in the shadows and shook and sobbed as the above scene flashed across the wide screen. Unable to restrain the gush of anguish. Transported fifty years in the past—my early teens—to a street corner in Jacksonville, Florida, just after dark. Where A gang of unruly men in white robes with pointed hoods. Shouted death threats. And burned another cross.

My brother and I were glued to the horror, but unable to look away. Daddy explained these were evil men. “But that’s what America’s all about,” he offered. “Freedom to demonstrate and say whatever you think, even when it’s wrong and folks don’t agree.”

I didn’t believe those words then and I don’t believe them now. Hate is not an acceptable synonym of freedom. If your actions harm another person, those actions aren’t legitimized because you live in America. Those actions testify of the perpetrator’s bondage to lies, hatred, and sin. But like Daddy, many in the 50’s and 60’s rejected the Klan’s evil, but hedged ignorant suspicions on the side of prejudice about anyone not like them. And the black community did the same.

Racial prejudice knows no boundaries.

First John

Unaware of the imprint those images etched in my soul, I watched this true story played out in HD in the movie, Woodlawn. Those turbulent years in our nation’s history, and the vile words and actions of then governor of Alabama, George Wallace, echoed off the screen and through the years.

I saw again the faces of those satiated with hate on that street corner so long ago, but I also heard and remembered the words of justice and peace spoken by Dr. Martin Luther King. And the maker of this film told the true story how six words transformed the lives and futures of the Woodlawn football team, the school, and the town. One afternoon in Birmingham, Alabama, the entire team of integrated, but deeply divided, angry young men uttered those life-changing words—I choose Jesus and I forgive you.

DSCF3164

Thousands of years ago, in the Book of Deuteronomy, God recited before the people the blessing and the cursing and allowed them to likewise choose.

“See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it…I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him” (Deuteronomy 30:15-16, 19-20 NAS).

The same God who created the heavens and the earth, is the same God who spoke through Moses to the nation of Israel, and is the same God this nation has worshiped and served over two hundred years. This same God who blessed America would have continued to bless our nation had the people of this land chosen life and blessings and obedience, rather than death and cursings.

King Solomon was right when he said, “Behold there is nothing new under the sun.”
And here we are in 2015 having crossed that same despicable threshold. Again.

DSCF3161

The fabric of faith has been contorted and twisted and shredded across America by the continual lies and rebellion of the enemies of God and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

I listen to the continual words of this president, and those who surround him, and the media, who, like those KKK men of the past, spew their divisive, hate laced words, dividing, vilifying, and separating Americans. Daily choosing death rather than life.

And we see this consequential death displayed in each major city in America every day. We have been sucked back in time and have allowed days of the hideous history of hatred to rekindle and reproduce in our land. Fueled by a willful ignorance of God’s Word, people of every race and creed, deceived by the times and tunes chanted by Satan and his vicious demons, dance to the melody of deception.

They fail to understand fear of The Ku Klux Klan was just another wicked lie established in the South by deceived Democrats intent on keeping the black populous from voting. Democrats controlled the South during those years. The word Republican was whispered, but not on the ballot. And did you know one of the oldest Democratic members of the U.S. Senate was a past Dragon of the Klan? Who knows how many other leaders swore allegiance to the Klan?

But that was the way of the south in the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s—or so my Daddy believed.

And if we don’t discern and aren’t diligent to seek God’s guidance, 2016 will be the same song, umpteenth verse of this ditty of deception.

God has answered our prayers and raised up a trio of godly patriots, well qualified to seek the office of President. Men who aren’t ashamed of their faith in Jesus Christ. Men who have the courage to speak the truth. But, it’s hard to fight free stuff. Because we’ve raised a generation of folks who believe their have a right to free, refusing to care or comprehend someone has to pay for their free. Scripture instructs, “If you do not work, you do not eat.”

 Thessalonians

What’s the point, you ask? The Klan no longer exists.

Really? Are you sure?

Jesus tells us, “If we say we love God and hate our brothers, we are liars and the truth is not in us.”

Anyone who hates another human enough to kill is like a current-day-member of the Klan. Just as despicable and evil. And God says we’ve murdered them in our hearts first. Anyone who chooses the lie of the father-of-lies, rather than obeying the commands of the Lord God, will inherit the eternal consequences of their choices.

Make no mistake, for there to be a heaven, there must be a hell. But God sends no one to that eternal place of torment…they choose hell because they refuse to acknowledge and believe and choose Jesus and refuse to forgive others.

I highly endorse the movie Woodlawn. And would suggest it for family viewing and discussion.

There is no place like Texas to illustrate these age-old words of wisdom. And the rodeo arena is a proving ground.

DSCF4937Cowboys march to a different drum beat. Their walk, their talk, their attitudes illustrate the courageous spirit of the Lone Star State. And you don’t have to search long to find Texas pride and swagger, even among the kiddos.
DSCF4784
These pint sized cowboys and cowgirls have watched mama and daddy from birth. By age two or three they’re in the saddle. And by their teen years girls and boys know how to rope and ride. They’ve caught their parent’s attitudes and their actions will follow.
IMG_2480 518
A number of years ago my husband and I took relatives, visiting from New York, to a real, down-home rodeo (not the kind you see on TV or in a local coliseum). A bona’ fide rodeo. We parked the car, got out and my husband’s cousin caught the swipe of a horse’s tail. In the face.

Yikes! Bad start to the evening.

Cousin’s white canvas tennies sank in the Texas turf as we made our way through the crowd of contestants, livestock, and spectators, into the arena and to our seats in the bleachers. Of IMG_2713 239course, by this time, I’m revved. I wasn’t born Texan, but I’m a quick study and I love RODEO!

Ms. Cousin sat prune-faced and proper on the wooden seat, ‘til her expression morphed to horror at the scene playing out in the arena. Did I mention this was a Youth Rodeo?

First up was the small fry steer riding contest (actually just a calf). A kiddo, probably five years old, in boots, jeans, and a hat bigger’n him, stood beside his daddy next to the chute, sobbing, “I don’t wanna. I won’t do it!”

Daddy reached down, grabbed the reticent little cowpoke and handed him off to another cowboy, who held the kicking kiddo potato-sack-fashion under his arm.
IMG_2465 526
Well, Cousin Horrified become vocal. She leaped to her feet and screamed, “That’s child abuse. Are they going to make that baby ride a cow? Call somebody. Stop this, right now!” She stamped and fumed for the next few seconds while everyone seated around us smirked, snickered, and shook their heads.

Cowboy #2 handed the little cowboy back to Dad who plunked the little guy on the saddle, adjusted the boy’s rope, and gave the gatekeeper a nod. The gate flew open. The calf shot from the chute—jumpin’ and buckin’. First buck sent the little guy tumbling off the “steer,” and landing smack-dab on his fanny in the Texas dirt.

Cousin Vocal gasped and jumped up again. I thought she was gonna faint.

The now seasoned little dude scrambled to his feet, grinnin’ and bowin’.

The crowd cheered.

He bowed one more time and reached to pick up his hat. The IMG_2494 512confident little man slapped it against his leg, then jammed his mini Stetson even with his eyebrows, and strutted out the arena—just like the big cowboys!

The announcer called the kiddo on deck to join the fun.

Ms. Cousin stood and glared at me. “I want to go home. This isn’t my idea of entertainment.” And the evening came to an abrupt and IMG_2487 510sour end.

The actions and attitudes of her family, her life, had not prepared her for rodeo. She had no understanding of the event or the culture. So should we have knuckled and stopped Texas Rodeos because of her ignorance or opposition to this historical sport? Of course, not. That would be foolish.

But folks, the same scenario is taking place all over America DSCF4813every day. Interlopers from other cultures have moved here and are demanding we remake ourselves to be like them. Our national sovereignty is crumbling and we sit transfixed. Spectators rather than We, the people.

We have failed to maintain our founding fathers’ attitudes about God, absolute truth, right and wrong, personal responsibility, and accountability.

Jude, the half-brother of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the man who wrote next to last book in the New Testament said:

“…certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ” (Jude 4 NAS).

Just like our New York cousins intruded in our Texas culture, desiring to change our ways based on their lack of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. People who worship false gods have likewise intruded, uninvited, into our land with the purpose and intent of changing our Constitution, our culture, and our laws,DSCF5006 and our faith in the Lord God Almighty. They have determined to make America just like the place they left behind. And we have not only allowed this destruction of our nation and faith, we have aided and abetted the rebellion by our silence.

When we come into God’s Kingdom, He doesn’t become like us. No, God graciously promises to transform us to Jesus’ image as we follow Him, obey Him, and love Him. In years past immigrants have come to America and have assimilated to the laws of the land and into the culture. That has been what has made our nation great. United as One Nation Under God!

Under the inspiration of the Spirit of God, Jude penned words we would do well to heed:

“…I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3 NAS).

And he ID’d these renegades so we could recognize the intruders.
“…these men revile the things which they do not understand;…these are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage. Remember… ‘In the last time there shall be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.’ These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit…keep yourselves in the love of God…have mercy on some who are doubting…save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh”
(Jude 10-23 NAS).

Are you contending for the faith? Trusting what our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished at Calvary was enough to present you faultless before God? Or are you too frightened to speak the truth of the Word of God to this perverted generation?

If you’re too frightened to speak truth now, what will you do when only the fearful, mockers, and godless remain? Will you speak now or never?
