                                                         Part Two

                                   SLICING, DICING, AND BURNING

Someone much wiser than me said, “It only takes a generation for a nation to turn away from God.” And the Book of Jeremiah gives the absolute proof certain of this proclamation.

Prairie Creek 2016 2

King Jehoiakim ruled in Judah from 609 B.C. until 597 B.C. He was the son of King Josiah who reigned from 630 B.C. until 609 B.C.

Josiah was a man after God’s own heart, but his son Jehoiakim, was bad-to-the-bone. Josiah cleared the land of idols, destroyed their places of worship, and found God’s word, which had been lost in the temple. (Can you imagine the Word of God being lost in the House of God? Still happens today in some churches, doesn’t it?)

DSCF9123

When Josiah finally heard the Word of God, he tore his clothes and commanded priests and scribes to inquire of the Lord concerning the words of the Book. His story is found in 2 Chronicles 34 and 35 and is so worth the read if you don’t know about this last good king in the land of Judah. God blessed Judah because of Josiah’s obedience. But generational sin lurked like a shroud of judgment, because Josiah’s father, King Manasseh had been the worst of the worst and that gene pool washed like a tsunami over his grandson Jehoiakim.

God sent Jeremiah the prophet, during the days of good King Josiah to remind the priests, rulers, and people of their refusal to listen and obey His Word. To remind them of the judgments He had pronounced against the granddaddy, and remind them of their urgent need to listen and repent.

When Jehoiakim inherited the throne, Jeremiah’s obedience to do what God called him to be and do, proved to be a perpetual pain in this king’s back-side. And the prophet ended up confined, unable to deliver God’s word to the people. But Jeremiah’s work was far from finished. So, the Lord told Jeremiah to take a scroll and write on it the words God spoke to him. God said, “Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the calamity which I plan to bring on them, in order that every man will turn from his evil way; then I will forgive their iniquity and their sin.”

Even while they were back at their idol worship and evil ways, God was ready to hear and forgive their sins. Just like today, over twenty-six hundred years later, God’s message is still the same. And so is every man, woman, boy and girl—the same. Full of sin without the wisdom to see their great need for salvation through Jesus Christ or the ability to save themselves from God’s judgment.

Well, Jeremiah called Baruch, the scribe, and dictated to him all the words the Lord had spoken to him. We’re not told how long the process took, but remember, God called Jeremiah to be His prophet in 627 B.C. It’s now 606 B.C. That’s a bunch-a-words folks. Written by hand, in pen and ink, on a loooong roll of parchment.

What happened next is worth reading in the 36th Chapter of Jeremiah, verses 10-21. But picture this, the king is sitting in his winter house and there’s a fire burning in the brazier in front of him.

image

Jehudi unrolled the scroll and began reading—one column, two, three, and four columns. Imagine the scene, the king is obviously incensed and grabs the scribe’s knife and slices the scroll and pitches it into the fire. Then he sliced and diced the whole scroll containing the Words of God and burned it all in the fire until it was consumed!

“Yet the king and all his servants who heard all these words were not afraid, nor did they rend their garments” (Jeremiah 36:24 NIV).

I’m waitin’ for the lightning and goose-bumps raced across my body as I read this and then again as I’m typing these words to you. Remember his daddy’s reaction when he heard the Word of God? He feared and tore his clothes. Jehoiakim and his crew? Not so much.

I have every Bible I’ve ever owned and if there were a fire at my house, my Bibles would be the first thing I’d race to save. Wouldn’t you? But to cut them apart and watch ’em burn?

Hot in the Kitchen 4

Yet before we cluck our tongues and look down our noses at King Jehoiakim, don’t we reject God’s Word when we leave it in the back of the car from one Sunday ‘til the next. Never thinking about where our copy of the Word is ‘til we leave for church the following week? Or worse yet, we leave it on the end table by our chair, right next to the HD remote. Which gets more use during the week—the Word of God or the remote?

But God didn’t wring His holy hands. No, He told Jeremiah to get another scroll and repeat the process. Which Jeremiah and Baruch did, because we have the words God spoke to Jeremiah in our Bibles today. But listen carefully to the words God spoke concerning King Jehoiakim.

“You will have no one to sit on the throne of David, and your dead body shall be cast out to the heat of the day and frost of the night. (He wouldn’t receive a proper burial. The birds and beasts would pick his bones.) I will also punish him and his descendants and his servants for their iniquity, and I will bring on them and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the men of Judah all the calamity that I have declared to them” (Jeremiah 36:29-31 NIV).

And God’s Words became reality for King Jehoiakim, the priests, and the people when Nebuchadnezzar and his great armies killed, captured and burned Jerusalem, and carried many from Judah captive to Babylon for seventy years. Why? Because they did not listen to the Words of God to obey them!

God’s Word is the same yesterday, today and forever. Neither Jehoiakim nor any of his descendants will be present in the coming kingdom. His choices brought the consequences of separation from God then, now, and forever. No more chances. His doom was sealed and God’s wrath on him was executed by the King of Babylon. Done. Finished. Forever.

But God’s mercy and grace are still available to us. How will the recount of Jehoiakim’s foolish choices and consequences resonate in your life? The words “…but they didn’t listen…” echo in my ears from 606 B.C., through the corridors of time, to today…

Am I listening? Are you listening? What choices will we make? Will we choose rewards or consequences?

“And He said to me, ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.

But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death’” (Revelation 21:6-8 NIV).

Part Three: Weak, Deceived, Can’t Trust – Jeremiah 37 – 38

                                                        Part One

                                        THE FAITHFUL RECHABITES

                                                         Jeremiah 35

“…I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened. And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear…” (Jeremiah 25:3-4 NAS)

How many of you can say amen when you hear a parent say to their children, “I’ve told you time and time again. When will you hear? Can’t you understand what I’m saying?” I bet you’ve said the same thing to your children. Well, we’re all in good company, God said the same thing to His children down through the halls of history. And the result was always the same—rewards when they listened and consequences when they didn’t.

DSCF4943

Biblical scholars tell us when God repeats something once it’s important, but when He repeats it over and over again—we’d better listen. And obey. The folks in Jeremiah’s day flat refused God’s warning. But don’t we do the same thing today? Filling the churches on Sunday, yet leaning to our own understanding the rest of the week?

The 35th Chapter of Jeremiah records the account of a family called the Rechabites. The father’s name was Jonadab who was the son of Rechab. By all accounts this family was tight. Rechab set the standard and the sons obeyed—as did their wives, children, and grandchildren.

What a novel occurrence–even in that day!

I read the chapter, and read it again. I needed to know more about these Rechabites. What prompted this father-leader and what caused the sons and their families to listen? Was he a warrior? A brutal man who demanded obedience? But it appears this was a family of scribes. A family whose grandfather was witness to the cleansing of Israel from Baal worship and the slaying of Ahab, Jezebel, and those who followed this despicable idol. You can find the history in 2 Kings 9 and 10. (Probably around 841 B.C.)

DSCF4893

Can you imagine the conversations around the campfires at night? This scribe-father instructed his sons and their families to drink no wine, to build no houses, to sow no seed, nor plant vineyards, and to live in tents—and through generations they obeyed.

God told Jeremiah to invite these Rechabite men to the temple in Jerusalem, sometime probably around 609-606 B.C. and give them wine to drink. What? Would God do something like that to trick ’em? No. This was a test, to be used for an example. And these fathers passed with flying colors.

Would you?

Inside the pomp and circumstance of the temple chambers this family refused Jeremiah’s offer of wine and gave testimony to what they’d been taught. And God used them as a living example of obedience to His disobedient people in Judah.

God gave Jeremiah these words to speak to the inhabitants of Jerusalem:

“Will you not receive instruction by listening to My words? The words of Jonadab, the son of Rechab, which he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are observed. So they do not drink wine to this day, for they have obeyed their father’s command. But I have spoken to you again and again; yet you have not listened to Me” (Jeremiah 35:13-14 NAS).

DSCF4892

And God pronounced judgment for His people’s disobedience. Total disaster! In 605 B.C., the King of Babylon first invaded Judah and carried 5,000 captives to Babylon.

But to the house of the Rechabites, for their obedience to listen and obey their fathers, God promised His reward: “Jonadab, the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to stand before me always.”

Folks, “always” means forever. We shall see all these sons of Rechab, standing before the Lord. Generations of them during the Millennium, in the New Heavens and Earth. Wouldn’t you love to hear that promise as a reward for your obedience? God’s gift to your children and grandchildren? During these days of great deception and falling away from the Word of God, what are the chances?

Slim to none if we don’t set our hearts, minds, and souls to listen and obey the Word of God. Every word He has spoken to you and to me over and over again—through His written Word, through His prophets, and preachers—through His Spirit. Maybe through your parents and grandparents, but especially through His Only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who told us:

“I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, BUT THROUGH ME” (John 14:6 NAS).

“Have you ever wondered why Satan approached Eve and not Adam in the Garden of Eden? Why didn’t he go up to Adam and start challenging him about whether or not God really said they shouldn’t eat from the tree of wisdom? Let’s review Genesis 3:2-10 NLT:

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10 He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

When the shrewd serpent, AKA Satan, showed Eve how beautiful and delicious the fruit was, and she wouldn’t need God, Eve caved. Husbands want to please their wives. Since that day, the Devil has made it his mission to get women and men to choose evil over good, Satan’s ways, not God’s ways. Already owning the world, Satan goes after the Christians he loses who turn from their evil ways, repent from their sins, and choose to follow Jesus Christ. Not deterred, Satan still dangles that forbidden fruit in the form of lies, sin, temptations, pride . . . anything that makes us feel we don’t need God, just like when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-10).

Jesus used Scripture to fend off Satan. If we’re not grounded in God’s Word, we’re easily deceived and distracted by the Deceiver, the Ruler of this world. Mothers have a huge influence over their children’s beliefs: what they watch on television, the video games they play, the amount of time they spend on electronics, the friends they keep. A real and present danger is the lure of the secular world on women, and thus goes the next generation.

march-for-trump

Since November 8 when the progressive liberals lost the presidential election, they have desperately tried to delegitimatize Donald Trump’s presidency. Refusing to accept defeat, they plotted a “Women’s March” in Washington DC the day after Inauguration Day. Supposedly, these women were marching for “women’s rights,” which were never clearly defined.

The rally featured speeches from activist Gloria Steinem, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, Democrat Elizabeth Warren (a fierce supporter of Hillary Clinton wearing a Planned Parenthood scarf) Madonna, actresses Ashley Judd, America Ferrara, and Scarlett Johansson, and director Michael Moore, among others.

Michael Moore . . . what does he have to do with women’s rights? Nothing! Then a group of largely women senators and other politicians took the stage.

In an article by Meghan Keneally, Good Morning American, titled “Politicians, Activists Rally Crowd at Women’s March in Washington,” Keneally noted: “With the timing and sheer number of people involved, it comes as little surprise that there are various causes attached to the march, which was largely billed as a demonstration in support of women’s rights and civil rights but for many has clear political undertones connected to the inauguration of Donald Trump.

This was obviously not a march for all women’s rights, since they barred all Pro-life groups!

This was also not a grassroots movement by a grandmother in Hawaii like the fake news media would have you believe. This was a well-planned Democrats’ attack aimed at President Donald Trump. So only Satan, the father of lies, could lure women, many bringing daughters, into marching for “women’s rights,” when it was actually political activists needing a big crowd to support their own agendas.

Even when asked why they were marching, most women quoted political election rhetoric, liberal media points, or didn’t have a clear answer. Satan’s trademark is confusion.

Women were the pawns of political interest groups, while supposedly protesting Donald Trump’s treatment of women. Ironic!

Maybe the women missed the fact that Donald Trump appointed Kellyanne Conway as the first woman presidential Campaign Manager and now Counselor and Advisor to the President? She broke a glass ceiling.

Some said they marched because of something Trump said over eleven years ago and publically asked forgiveness for and I wrote a blog about. Instead of granting him forgiveness, they knitted pink hats as idols to memorialize the vulgar word they’re protesting, and now demeaning slang words for women are freely rolling off their lips, yes including their young daughters. And Satan laughs!

So hypocritical when many at the march were yelling vulgarities, had obscenities on signs, and were listening to someone like Madonna give a profanity-laced, vulgar talk saying she thought about blowing up the White House. Does anyone see the dichotomy there? These women brought their daughters to hear Madonna who demeans women as sex symbols in her songs and costumes, has a filthy mouth, and talks of bombing the White House! She is a disgrace to womanhood and not a role model for our daughters. And the liberal anti-Trump Hollywood “stars” act in R rated movies exploiting women, participate in explicit sex scenes with other actors, and use vulgar language in movies and call it “art.”

Maybe they think President Trump is a racist? Really, what has he said that’s racist? He wants to help the inner cities and protect America from terrorists and illegals invading our country. He has many black pastors advising and supporting him. Were they marching against that?

Oh maybe they were marching against possibly losing the right to murder their babies, even up to the day before delivery? Ah Satan the tempter again: Did God really say life starts at conception? Did God really say thou shalt not kill?

Abortion never was or will be a woman’s right. Sex is a right and a choice, but it is not a right or choice to kill an unborn baby for convenience, pleasure, or wealth. Only Satan would tell a woman abortion was a right. But every unborn baby does have a right to life!

Could they be marching about losing Obamacare, because they might lose free abortions or birth control while the cost is skyrocketing and strapping families, businesses, and doctors are overwhelmed with paperwork? There will be a replacement for Obamacare and there are safe clinics that help women get medical checkups and provide help with pregnancies. It’s Satan’s lie that women will lose health benefits without Planned Parenthood.

Exactly what real “rights” were they marching for?

Women love getting together for a cause and climbed on planes, buses, and vans, but listening to them shout obscenities, wave signs with vulgarities, and denounce a newly inaugurated president wasn’t unifying. It isn’t God’s way. It is Satan whispering in their ears: God’s ways don’t work in today’s culture. Your rights are more important! God’s irrelevant in 2017. You don’t need Him. It’s all about you.

And that brings me to my heartbreak: I know Christians were marching.

The liberal progressive activists, who sponsored that march, stand for everything that opposes the Bible and God.

They didn’t open or close in prayer. There was no praise music. Not one pastor spoke. They only mentioned God’s name in vain. Instead they promoted hate, creating unrest, division, disruption, disunity, and denouncing a freely elected President.

Christians don’t support abortion of precious babies, the liberal progressive agenda of same sex marriage, the demonizing of Christian values, the denial of male and female genders, the removal of God from the public square, or the denouncing of Israel  . . . so what would draw a Christian woman to a march like this?

Here’s what Christian women should grab their sneakers and their daughters and hit the streets to march against: sex trafficking, child prostitution, childhood cancer or any cancer, selling drugs to youth and drug addiction, bullying, abortion. March for pro life, to help single moms or for women in countries who really have no rights because American women have amazing rights!

I believe that anyone who would turn out for the liberal “Women’s March” is looking for role models and mentors in all the wrong places. They are listening to the mainstream media and following the culture. The church needs to step up and provide mentors, guidance, and the Truth from the Word of God not from the world! Why are Christian women listening to Hollywood? Madonna? Gloria Steinem? Michael Moore? The same serpent that deceived Eve?

President Trump cannot turn America back to God. It’s time for the women of the church to get involved. How many of you know a woman who marched who you could have counseled? Wake up Christian women. God is calling you to get involved!

I hope you will share this post and pray about how God is calling you to be part of a revival. The doors have opened with President Trump’s and the conservative platform’s victory. Now we must do our part because the battle has just begun.

I want to close with a personal story to share with any who think abortion is a woman’s “right.” I praise God every day that the 15 year-old Hispanic birth mother of my amazing twelve-year old grandson never went into a Planned Parenthood clinic. Yes, he was her second baby, so they would have eagerly advised her to get a quick abortion and head back to school to continue with her life. But praise God, she chose to give Brandon the right to his life, and blessed a childless couple by choosing them to become the forever parents of this precious gift of God. That young girl did continue with her life knowing she chose to cherish life and will never suffer the haunting nightmares of so many women who chose to sacrifice life.”

If you’ve had an abortion or know someone considering it please read: Prisoners of Choice.

Another confirming article written by a woman about how women were pawns in what was really a political activists march: Billionaire George Soros Has Ties to more that 50 ‘partners’ to the Women’s March on Washington.

A SYMPHONY OF DECEPTION

Symphony silence filled the music hall before the curtain rose and the anticipated performance brought a moment of exhilaration and excitement scurrying over the elegant clad attendees.

Spotlights focused as the director strode center stage. Lights dimmed and the curtain lifted. He stepped to the podium, tapped his baton, and held up his arms as every eye in the house held on the performance-clad orchestra in all their finery. The audience sat spellbound, waiting for those first perfect notes to saturate their senses.

Time to seek shelter 2

But their music stands were empty, and shrieky, strident sounds of a weird, wild cadence blasted ear drums. Gasps were seen, but couldn’t be heard. The volume increased as did the out-of-tune mayhem from the thumps and bumps of the percussion section, mindless blasts from the horns, and screeches from the strings. Not an ounce of unity. No trace of a melody. Just a barrage of hateful clamor.

The audience twisted and turned to assess the reactions of other symphony goers, but not a soul left their seat. They sat in rapt expectation that this symphony of deception would somehow change. Some way have a good ending.

But it didn’t.

The chaotic chords continued as the audience squirmed in their seats. Watching. Waiting. Anticipating. But nothing changed. Yet all those concert goers remained in their places, listening, but doing nothing to stop this absurd spectacle. And when the last cords fell silent, the people who endured this catastrophe even clapped their feigned approval for their deceivers.

I know you’re thinking, what stupid people. These were obvious phonies pretending to be professional musicians. If I’d been there I’d a rushed up that aisle and demanded the performance be stopped and my money refunded.

Really? But isn’t this what’s happening across America today? No unity, no oneness of Spirit. Everyone banging their own tune. No United States of America. No “My Country, ‘tis of Thee.” No “Sweet land of liberty. Of Thee we sing—” The music has ceased, but the hateful haranguing shrieks and screams rage on, and on, and on.

DSCF2698

And the silence of the majority still waits for the deception to end. But it hasn’t. And it won’t. Unless you do something to stop it.

God offered, provided His Word and His Son, but the rancorous minority rejected His help and kicked Him to the curb, while the silent majority sat silent. And now we’re out of time. Next Friday could be the beginning of chaos, the likes of which America hasn’t seen since the Civil War. But only Elohim, The Lord God Almighty, can save us from ourselves and this great deception.

If we humble ourselves and pray as though our nation’s future depended on you and me. Because it does.

Political leaders claim to be serving the good of all the American people, but they don’t. With ulterior radical motives, a depraved mind, and an insatiable appetite for money, they have captured and created chaos for years with a perverted plan to fundamentally change these United States of America, while the public they pretend to serve, waits on the sidelines for someone—anyone to rescue them from the coming storm.

Hot in the kitchen 2

Yet the God of the Ages is still faithful and still stands ready to rescue, if we will, with one voice, cry out to Him.

Teachers, professors, educators claim to teach our children necessary skills, but instead uphold an agenda contrary to the principals and precepts of the Word of God. These purveyors of deception have slipped in unnoticed and taken control of schools and universities. These pseudo-intellectuals delight in social experimentation to force their lies and ideological beliefs upon our children. And we have paid and still trust them to accomplish this hideous brain-washing, while we sit silent on the sidelines, grateful to have illegitimate babysitters relieve us of our responsibilities as parents.

Preachers who claim to preach truth, but actually proclaim another gospel, rather than the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, are multiplying and flourishing in this once “Under God” nation. These rebellious men and women seek and flatter congregations not grounded in the Word of God. And people with itching ears gobble their false-prophecies because their ears and hearts are not interested in the truths, practices, and principles of the Lord God Almighty.

Social media experts whose responsibility and pledge is to inform and report the truth and facts have only one goal …make money, regardless of the costs. And are for sale to the highest bidder. Truth? God’s instructions? They aren’t interested. Lies make bigger and better press.

And entertainers—in this Sodom and Gomorrah culture—invade not only movies, books, CD’s, theater, but have moved into our homes, the classroom, and our children’s hearts. Television shows broadcast with flamboyance their intentional rebellion against God and His holiness, while we sit and watch, night after night, week after week, and when called to account attempt a lame defense… “Oh, I don’t agree with ’em. I just watch ’em.”

Well, sweet friend, If you’re watchin’, you’re agreeing.

I know we’ve all heard the saying, “Those who don’t learn from history are bound to repeat it.” Yet we purposefully refuse to learn. God preserved His Word and called us to come apart and be separate. We are instructed to be different. We are instructed to be holy unto the Lord. Our pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress’ new book,  “All Roads Do Not Lead to Heaven,” confirms this truth.

Last night I read that the State of California as of January 1, 2017, will no longer prosecute child sexual molestation cases, thus throwing the door wide open to human trafficking. What are these California legislators thinking? What will they say when they stand before the God of all Creation and hear Jesus say:

“And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, ‘Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea’” (Matthew 18:2-6 NAS).

What will you say and do when your State legislators propose the same thing?

In that day, our excuses, our idols, and our hypocrisy will be burned up and many of us will be left with the bare bones of our salvation—no rewards—because we were too lazy, too busy, or too fearful to stand for God’s truth in the here and now.

And many will hear those awful words, “I never knew you. “Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23 NAS).

Do you think God has changed His mind? He tells us He never changes. Do you know and trust His character?  His promises? Will you continue to sit and watch this symphony of deception play out until the end—never objecting, never speaking God’s truth, never caring about those your life touches? Will you, like those absurd fictional symphony goers, clap your hands together in feigned approval of those rushing down the wide highway to an eternal hell?

Our forefathers stood firm in the light of The Word of God, fought and died for the precious principles of faith in the God of all Creation. Will you sit in silence while the enemies of God steal our land too?

Hot in the Kitchen.jpg 1

Or will you accept and trust in the gift the Lord Jesus Christ paid for your soul and mine? While there is still time, God stands ready to grant His mercy, His grace, and forgiveness because of Jesus’ blood shed for you and me—if we will turn, listen, and obey Him. But time is short. Please search your heart. Please ask His forgiveness. Please repent…turn around and walk according to His principles and precepts.

Diligently pray for our nation this coming week and ask God to bind the forces of evil determined to turn the hallowed ground of our forefathers into a battle ground. Draw your line in the sand and stand like a soldier holding the solid line of Truth. Be thankful to our Lord. Our God. Our Only Salvation. Our soon coming King!

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost” (Revelation 22:16-17 NAS).
